CWEA recognized at Orange County Sanitation District 60th Anniversary

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) recognized the California Water Environment Association as “one of our key partners in service to the community,” noting that “CWEA has been a valuable partner over the years.”   The OCSD Board of Directors and staff acknowledged CWEA’s contributions at its Board Meeting on July 23, 2014 and presented a Commendation of Appreciation to CWEA Board members attending.

The Commendation was presented by Tom Beamish, Chairman of the Board, Orange County Sanitation District and City Council Member and Mayor of the City of La Habra along with Jim Herberg, General Manager, OCSD.

Accepting the certificate on behalf of CWEA were Berlinda Blackburn, City of Coachella and CWEA Board Director (Treasurer); Alec Mackie, JWC Environmental, CWEA Board Director (WEF Delegate Director); and Megan Yoo Schneider, Tetra Tech, CWEA Board Director (Southern Regional Committee Chair).

At least three of CWEA’s Presidents have come from OCSD along with many volunteers.  CWEA is honored by this acknowledgement and appreciates the outstanding support OCSD has given to CWEA in support of its mission.
