CWEA Representatives Selected to Serve on ELTAC

Congratulations to Mindy Boele from the City of Vacaville, Ron Coss from Orange County Sanitation District, and Mark Koekemoer from Napa Sanitation District, as recently being selected to serve on the Environmental Laboratory Technical Advisory Committee (ELTAC) representing CWEA.  They will be serving on the committee at a critical time as the Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) is going under major changes which could have enormous impact on the laboratories and ELTAC will be the voice of the stakeholders at ELAP.

ELAP provides evaluation and accreditation of environmental testing laboratories to ensure the quality of analytical data used for regulatory purposes to meet the requirements of the State’s drinking water, wastewater, shellfish, food, and hazardous waste programs. The State agencies that monitor the environment use the analytical data from these accredited laboratories. The ELAP-accredited laboratories have demonstrated capability to analyze environmental samples using approved methods.

We wish you good luck and many thanks for helping out the CWEA membership with your service.
