The Delta Diablo Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Vince De Lange as General Manager. Prior to this appointment, Mr. De Lange worked 17 years at the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) where he managed development and implementation of the wastewater capital improvement program, including planning, design, and construction activities, guided long-term master planning efforts, and developed significant experience and expertise in the realm of resource recovery.
Mr. De Lange holds both an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in California. He was selected as an Emerging Leader in the 2016 California Water Environment Association Emerging Leaders issue of the Wastewater Professional.
Board Chair Pete Longmire confirms, “The wastewater resource recovery industry is essential to the social, environmental, and economic success of every community. Under Mr. De Lange’s leadership, the Board is confident Delta Diablo will continue to spearhead new innovation and resource recovery initiatives that benefit our local communities and the region.”
Delta Diablo is a nationally-recognized wastewater resource recovery agency serving 200,000 customers in Antioch, Bay Point and Pittsburg. They also operate one of the largest industrial recycled water facilities in the State, as well as manage East Contra Costa’s Delta Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility. In April 2017, Delta Diablo was recognized as Plant of the Year (Medium) by the California Water Environment Association.
