The Students and Young Professionals Committee (SYPC) along with the Future Issues Symposium will hold a Humanitarian Engineering Session at WEFTEC 2014 in New Orleans on Monday September 29, 2014. In addition to the podium presentations they are soliciting posters on the topic to be displayed during the session time slot. The posters will allow participants to share innovative projects, designs, and efforts that aim to directly improve the health and welfare of marginalized or under-served communities. This session will provide an opportunity for professionals in the industry to learn about humanitarian engineering successes that have enhanced the well-being of communities from a local and global perspective. Posters will be displayed outside of the technical session room and there will be many opportunities to interact with WEFTEC attendees. All submitted posters must have at least one individual available to attend the entire session.
