Public Works Upgrading Alameda Pump Stations

The City of Alameda Public Works Department is in the process of upgrading 35 of the city’s 45 pump stations involved in sending out the wastewater collected on the island each day.

Public Works Supervisors Max Arbios recently took Alameda Patch on a tour to two pump stations. One on the corner of Aughinbaugh and Sea View Parkway is in the process of being upgraded to become a submersible pump station much like the one completed on the corner of Island Drive and Clubhouse Memorial Road.  Check out the video here:
