San Carlos Based SunToWater Wins Singularity University's 2015 Impact Challenge

A water purification technology that pulls humidity from the air and turns it into clean water is the winner of Singularity’s 2015 Impact Challenge. The prize includes $5,000 and mentoring from Singularity’s technology incubator program. The university is based in Silicon Valley.

SunToWater’s patented scalable Appliance harnesses 40 to 100 gallons of water daily from outdoor air. Our “green” Appliances can be used alone or alongside others to generate millions of gallons daily.

Second place went to Sanzfield Technologies (Canada) and third place  to the Desolenator (UK).
