After 13 years at the helm, longtime Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority (VVWRA) General Manager Logan Olds has stepped down to pursue new opportunities. Logan has been the face of VVWRA for a number of years and has been committed to the local community, especially Victor Valley College, where he served on the VVC Foundation Board. When Logan became General Manager of VVWRA in 2006, he was tasked with turning around a facility that was facing more than 100 water quality violations. Through his leadership and foresight over the last 13 years, Logan has guided VVWRA from a troubled wastewater treatment facility to a respected industry leader. Under his leadership, VVWRA has resolved those early water quality problems, improved and expanded infrastructure, navigated several disasters including the 2010 Upper Narrows emergency, supervised construction of the Apple Valley and Hesperia water recycling facilities and initiated an award winning green energy program.
Logan leaves a legacy of innovative thinking and leadership. Logan will continue in an advisory role until his replacement is selected.
