Water Pollution Control Program Offered by Tri-Valley ROP– 2014/2015 School Year

The application period for the Water Pollution Control class offered by Tri-Valley Regional Occupational Program is now open.   If you know of someone interested in starting their Wastewater Operator education, direct them to the WWW.TVROP.ORG for registration information.   We encourage our WWTP partners to submit personal recommendations directly to the Instructors.

Class Dates: Each Tuesday, starting September 3, 2014

Time: 5:00 pm thru 8:00 pm

Class Description

This Regional Occupational Program is a career education program and partners with wastewater treatment facilities for career development.   During the nine-month program, students attend class each week, complete homework, participate in numerous plant tours, network with wastewater professionals, and develop interview skills. On the job experience is gained thru Internship at local treatment plants.

Students are equipped for employment as a Wastewater Operator and related trades and are prepared to take certification exams administered by the State Water Resources Control Board.   Students complete CSU, Sacramento Wastewater Treatment, Volume 1 and Volume 2.

Financial Assistance

Many individuals are able to obtain financial assistance through their County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) or Private Industry Council (PIC).

Registration is slated to close July 11th, and class size is limited to 30.
